Half boiled eggs to start the morning.
We started the morning with half boiled eggs. It’s customary to have 2 eggs each. Finally everything is stirred with some soya sauce and pepper. YUMMYYYYY~~~
Roti Bakar is a common dish in kopitiams.
These days, due to the trend of coffee culture in modern societies, we have international coffee chains like Starbucks and Coffee Bean setting up shop in Malaysia. Not to be outdone, the kopitiams are also streaming steadily into the main markets to attract city-dwellers.
While it offers traditional kopitiam fare, the shop also has typical Kelantan dishes on its menu. Don’t be surprised to find nasi kerabu, nasi dagang and nasi berlauk listed among its breakfast offerings.
Nasi kerabu is mixed herb rice served with chicken, nasi dagang is glutinous rice eaten with fish curry and nasi berlauk is white rice served with chicken or beef curry. In Kelantan, it is common to have rice for breakfast.
As with other kopitiam, Oriental Kopitiam prides itself in its delicious and fragrant homemade kaya jam and smooth coffees. Its half-boiled eggs are also made to perfection.
