I’m finally engaged to my best friend, my love, my life, my everything, my dearest Khairi.

And I still can’t believe it! That we’re finally each others “fiancée”. It sounds foreign whenever we use the word fiancée and introducing/telling stories to other people referring your boyfriend as fiancée now. ;P

Like there’s nothing more to worry about but just do what I have to do “in life” and waltz to the next phrase “of life” which is marriage.

Let me enjoy this moment for it doesn’t come by everyday. ;)

How I wish I could look like that everyday! Haha. Not too heavy though, just nice to bring out the complexion of my face. ;P hehehe...

Anyway! The ceremony held was beautiful and I’m glad the attendees felt the same way too.Never did I expect the house would transform in such way that it gave everyone a pleasant feeling and so welcomed.

Once I sat on the chair of the pelamin, dearest’s mom to the pelamin to “sarung” (what the heck is it in English?!?) the engagement ring to my ringer.

I was officially his fiancée.

Then we continued our photo session. A LOT of group photo taking session... Macam kahwin dah... ;P

It was perfecto and I couldn’t ask for more.

Thank you everyone for every single help and effort you poured out for us. You know who you are.

Our Engagement

I'm actually felt sooooo shy to post my personal pictures of myself in this website. Since my friends have been requesting all these pictures a couple of times so i've decided to post them here instead of Facebook...lagi malu

I've decided to have a very simple ceremony and Alhamdulillah...everything went well just like i wanted it to be. The ceremony was held on July 30th,2010 at my house. Lots of families are coming over...Thanks so much!!

Our hantaran was 5 returned 5. Adat kelantan sama manyak sajerk!

Hurm, keje last minute cari tukang make up. haha. Nsib la si amy neh sanggup menerimanya. keke. esk petang nk make up, mlm tu baru kalut nk cari. ish ish! keke.

ye lah, memula ingatkan nk guna magic hands dr aunty2. keke.

x terpikir pun nk cari org lain kan. keke.

Perkahwinan : Bertunang

Bertunang

Selepas perbincangan diadakan, majlis pertunangan akan dilangsungkan. Pihak lelaki akan diwakili oleh ahli keluarga dan saudara mara terdekatnya untuk upacara bertunang. Pada hari tersebut, majlis kenduri akan diadakan bersempena pertunangan tersebut di rumah pihak perempuan. Hantaran yang terdiri daripada tepak sirih atau sirih junjung sebagai bingkisan utama, sebentuk cincin beserta hantaran lain seperti bunga rampai, buah-buahan, kuih-muih, pakaian dan lain-lain yang telah digubah akan diberi kepada pihak perempuan.

Mengikut adatnya juga, sekiranya pihak perempuan mempunyai kakak yang masih belum berkahwin, hantaran untuknya juga turut diberikan. Adat ini dipanggil langkah bendul. Bilangan hantaran agak unik kerana jumlahnya ganjil iaitu samada lima, tujuh, sembilan, sebelas atau tiga belas, kerana jumlah genap dikatakan memberi implikasi yang tidak baik. Jumlah hantaran yang diberi oleh pihak perempuan pula akan melebihi jumlah hantaran pihak lelaki. Adat menghantar belanja turut diadakan semasa adat bertunang ini dijalankan. Namun begitu ada juga yang menjalankannya secara berasingan daripada adat bertunang iaitu mengadakannya beberapa minggu sebelum majlis persandingan dijalankan.

Perkahwinan : Meminang

Meminang

Setelah diketahui bahawa gadis tersebut belum berpunya, pihak keluarga lelaki akan menetapkan hari untuk menghantar satu rombongan peminangan. Urusan peminangan akan dilakukan oleh kaum keluarga terdekat pihak lelaki. Adat ini dilakukan bagi menyatakan tujuan mereka yang sebenarnya secara rasmi. Saudara-mara kedua-dua belah pihak akan berunding untuk menetapkan tarikh dan masa yang sesuai untuk adat bertunang pula. Di samping itu, perbincangan juga akan diadakan berkenaan dengan hantaran dan jumlah rombongan yang akan datang untuk upacara bertunang untuk memudahkan pihak perempuan menyediakan persiapan semasa majlis pertunangan kelak.

hey.

as most of you guys know, i & my br, Kery have been dating each other for more than bla bla bla years..

and so.. we've decided to get engaged.

Being ready to get engaged means that you truly enjoy each other's company. hehe.

I'm happy that I'm getting engaged with him. yeay!! wahh gatal jerk bunyi nya. keke.

I can't hardly wait!

Hurm, start getting busy with my engagement preparation. walaupun skadar kecil kecilan, tp for me, wahh busy gak la. kesana kesini. kejap2 kuar nk beli itu ini. keke.

Maklum saja lah, adik bradik x de kan. Apa2 smuanya harus dikendalikan sndiri.. Opss sndiri?? Tipuuu**. haha.

Nsib la sayerp mempunyai seorang mak yang telalu myayangi sayerp okeh.

Kemana saja pasti my mum ikut saja kemana saja. Bkn apa, sayerp lebeh slesa skiranya my mum sndiri yang pilihkan. apa taknya. apa yang di pilih oleh nya, smemangnya terbaikkkkkkkkk ok!!!!

Apa saja yang slesa di matanya, selesa sangat di mata sayerp ini.

Jangan kata utk brg sayerp sndiri, utk si dia(incik kery) pun sayerp mahukan my mum pilihkan.

Pendek kata, sgala menda my mum yang pilihkan ok! hehehe..

Saya suka!

Perkahwinan : Merisik

Masyarakat Melayu begitu berpegang teguh dengan adat resam kerana ia dipercayai mempunyai kesan dalam kehidupan. Bagi masyarakat Melayu, adat resam perkahwinan begitu dititikberatkan. Sesuatu upacara dalam peringkat perkahwinan itu akan dijalankan dengan meriah dan penuh adat istiadat. Dalam adat perkahwinan masyarakat Melayu, terdapat beberapa peringkat penting.

Merisik

Adat ini juga dipanggil meninjau atau menengok. Tujuan adat ini dilakukan adalah untuk memastikan bahawa gadis yang dihajati oleh seorang lelaki itu masih belum berpunya. Ini penting, kerana dalam Islam seseorang itu dilarang meminang tunangan orang. Di samping itu, adat ini juga bertujuan untuk menyelidik latar belakang si gadis berkaitan kemahiran rumahtangga, adab sopan, tingkah laku, paras rupa serta pengetahuan agamanya. Lazimnya adat ini akan dijalankan oleh saudara mara terdekat pihak lelaki seperti ibu atau bapa saudaranya.

Bagi pihak si gadis pula, terdapat beberapa kriteria yang perlu dipertimbangkan sebelum menerima lamaran pihak lelaki antaranya ialah lelaki tersebut perlulah mempunyai latar belakang agama serta mempunyai pekerjaan yang baik.

Adakalanya semasa merisik, wakil lelaki tersebut akan memberikan sebentuk cincin tanya berupa cincin belah rotan dan jika pihak gadis bersetuju mereka akan menetapkan tarikh untuk peminangan. Walau bagaimanapun adat merisik jarang dilakukan lagi kerana pasangan tersebut telah berkenalan terlebih dahulu, justeru itu mereka akan terus menjalankan adat meminang untuk menjimatkan kos dan masa.

Harga petrol, diesel, gula dan gas LPG naik berkuatkuasa mulai tengah malam ini.
Petrol RON 95 dan RON 97 serta diesel naik 5 sen.

Manakala harga gula pula naik 25 sen, dengan gas LPG naik sebanyak 10 sen sekilogram

Kenaikan semua harga tersebut akan berkuatkuasa mulai tengah malam ini.

Berikut adalah harga baru:

- Petrol RON 95 - RM1.85 seliter.
- Petrol RON 97 - RM2.10 seliter.
- Diesel - RM1.75 seliter.
- Gula - RM1.70 sekilogram

Nokia N8

Nokia blog today announced the release of the N8 and from the looks of the promo videos, this new device may shape up to be one of the most feature-packed Nokia smartphone we’ve ever seen.

The N8 is Nokia’s first device to feature the new Symbian ^3 platform that supports multitouch as well as pinch zoom. The new OS is looking very polished indeed. Hardware wise, the Nokia N8 packs a 12MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics and a xenon flash that features the largest sensor ever used in a Nokia device. Nokia claims that sensor is bigger even than those found on many dedicated digital cameras. Nokia is saying that the camera on the N8 will mark the birth of a new breed of camera phones that promises to capture photos and video to rival dedicated point and shoot cameras.

The camera on the N8 brings with it the ability to record high definition videos along with a smart built-in editing suite on the device so the videos can be edited on the fly. To enjoy those HD videos in its full glory, the N8 packs a 3.5-inch HD capacitive OLED touchscreen with 640×480 resolution. In addition, the N8 also has a HDMI out connector allowing you to hook the device to any HDTV with HDMI. Apart from HD output capabilities, the N8 can also output Dolby Digital Plus surround sound.

Storage on the N8 comes in the form of 16GB of built-in memory with MicroSD support expandable up to 48GB.

The new Symbian ^3 OS allows for up to three customisable homescreens that can be loaded with applications and widgets. There’s also improved 2D and 3D graphics performance for a faster and more responsive UI, greater memory management and a visual task manager.

Built quality looks to be top-notch too with the N8 being fashioned from a single piece of anodised aluminium that comes with five colour selections. An accelerometer, a magnetic compass, a proximity sensor and an ambient light sensor are all present on the N8. The N8 will cost EU€370 before local taxes and subsidies, at today’s exchange rates, this equates to about RM1590 and will be available sometime in the third quarter of 2010. We think that’s good value for such a feature-packed device.
